It is with deep sadness & profound gratefulness the family announces the passing of Roy Gene Cotham of Pulaski TN. Roy was 100 years old, born 16 March, 1925 to parents Eugene and Arlie B. Cotham.
Roy is preceded in death by his wife Merron J. Cotham and their sons Leon, Samuel, Ollis and Alvin, and daughter Dorothy. His parents Eugene and Arlie B. Cotham, and several siblings, brother James and sisters Betty and Sarah.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children Roy A. Cotham, Coy Cotham, Sr, Lyvonne Neal, Merron (Lee) Brown, Melvin (Pamela) Cotham, Sandra Cotham, and Jacqueline (Ali) Ambrose. Daughter-in-law Mamie Cotham. Grandchildren, Crystal D. Cotham, Ashley (Marci) Cotham, Coy Cotham, Jr, Demetria Cotham, Tony (Loretta) Cotham, Chiquita (Jessica) Peoples, Tesa Hendrix, Monika (Justin) Cambric, Robert S. Neal, Brenda (Ken) Dangerfield, Kenneth (Latina) Duke, Ronda G. Duke, Ambrose (Muqeet) English, Shawntele Fuller, Lamar (Britany) Brown, Makayla N. Brown, Samantha (Thomas) Bush, Shawna (Alex) Snorton, Sierra (Kalani) Porto-Siurnao, Katina (Dexter) Coleman, Cameron, David (Rebecca) Francis Jr, Indigo (Leonard) Abell, and numerous great grandchildren, and siblings Eula’mae Sowell, Howard Cotham, Eugene Jr (Penelope) Cotham, Marvin (Doretha) Cotham, and Patricia Cotham, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Roy spent most of his childhood in the brick church area, as well as milky way farm. In his early 20’s he enjoyed his years working on the railroad where he traveled and got to see the world. He also did heavy equip work before getting into auto mechanics and having an auto scrap yard.
Visitation will be 11am Saturday, 11 October, 2025 and services immediately following 12pm at Bennett-May Funeral Home. The burial will be at Morristown Cotham Cemetery.
