Rosemary Goddard, 87, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Tishomingo Manor in Iuka, MS. She was born in Golden and graduated from Belmont High School. She loved her Lord and savior Jesus Christ and was a member of Jackson Camp Baptist Church. She retired from Abbott Laboratories in Illinois with 23 years of service. She was the best wife, mom, mother-in law, grandma and great-grandma. She loved to crochet blankets to give away to family and friends. It was often said that she never met a stranger, as she loved talking with everyone.
Her private service with family was held on November 17, 2025, at Jackson Camp Cemetery in Tishomingo, with Bro. Randy Hargett officiating. Arrangements were made at Deaton Funeral Home in Belmont, MS.
She is survived by her son, David Goddard of Tishomingo, MS and her daughter, Rose Marie (Wayne) Burke of IL. She absolutely loved her two grandsons, Danny (Lisa) of TX and Kevin (Sarah) of IL. Her pride and joy were her great-grandbabies, Landon and Skylar Burke in TX and her wonderful brother, Gene McCalmon of AL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Troy Goddard of 45 years; precious grandbaby, Steven Lee Burke; mother, Mollie Lucille Hardcastle; brother, James and his wife, Myrtle McCalmon and sister-in-law, Virginia McCalmon.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to her dear friends, Jerry and Bonnie McNatt and to the staff at Tishomingo Manor and Gentiva Hospice.
