Graveside services for Mrs. Rosalyn H. Wood were held Wednesday September 23, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lineville City Cemetery with Pastor Keith Jones officiating.
Mrs. Wood entered into her rest Saturday September 19, 2020 at Regional Medical Center in Anniston. She was born and raised in Bessemer Alabama, graduated from J. S. Abrams High School Class of 1966, had worked for several years at Russell Manufacturing, then went to New World Cosmetology and opened her shop doing hair for several years until she semi-retired. She married Monroe Wood, Jr. on April 18, 1967 and had a loving relationship for over 53 years.
Survivors include her husband Monroe Wood, Jr. of Lineville, her son; Earl Wood (Lisa) of Lineville, daughters; Cassandra David (Scott) of Birmingham and Debra Wood of Madison, also eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Horace Hale and Lela Bell Thomas Hale and one brother; Michael Hale.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Benefield Funeral of Lineville is in charge of the arrangements.
