Ronnie James “RJ” Bowman, of Huntsville, Alabama, was born on July 24, 1990, and passed away on December 17, 2024, at the age of 34. RJ’s passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever cherish the memories of his vibrant and loving spirit.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Bowman. Left to honor his memory are his son, Connor Bowman, the light of his life; mother, Sonja Bowman; his loving sisters, Kristi Sears (Erik) and Jessica McFarland (Cody); his grandparents, James & Barbara Wilkinson; his Aunt Tina Calhoun (David, Valerie & Conner Stokes, Dylan). RJ shared a particularly special bond with his sister Kristi, whose love, understanding, and unwavering support meant the world to him. She is and has always been so very proud him.
RJ also leaves behind his adored nieces and nephews: Katelyn, Natasha, Aiden, Dakota, Todd, Emma, Bentley, and Jackson, all of whom will forever remember him as their fun, protective, and doting uncle.
RJ was the life of the party—a man with a magnetic personality, a laugh that could light up a room, and a heart full of love. He lived selflessly, never hesitating to help anyone in need, often quite literally giving the shirt off his back. Fiercely loyal, RJ defended his family with unmatched passion.
His bond with his family was one of the deepest parts of who he was. Together, they shared countless laughs, and a connection that transcended words—relationships that were truly one of a kind.
RJ’s memory will live on in the love and light he shared, in the stories told, and in the lives he touched with his generosity and kindness.
A celebration of RJ’s life will be held at a later date.
