Ronald Michael Russell, 65, of Florence, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013, after a lengthy illness.
The memorial service was Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Creekside Church with Charles Frederick officiating. A time of visitation for family and friends followed the service.
Ron was a 1966 graduate of Coffee High School and was a hard worker. He had been a Regional Manager for Pic-N-Pay Shoes and had worked for Action Vans where he designed interiors.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Russell; son, Kyle Parrish (Kerry), of Florence; sister, Paula Elkins (Steve), of Florence; seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Robbye Russell; a brother, Myron Jaye Cox; and sons, Robert and Christopher Russell.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses for the excellent care Ron received over the years.
