Ronald G. Ables, 56, of Cherokee, passed from this life to his heavenly resting place on Oct. 5, 2012 at U.A.B. Hospital with his daughter Nikki and sister, Wanda at his side.
His visitation will be Monday, Oct. 8th from 6 pm until 8 pm at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. His funeral service will be Tuesday, Oct. 9th at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Bruce Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in Barton Cemetery.
Ronnie was born October 10, 1955 in Iuka, MS., and was a current resident of Cherokee, AL., where he was well known and could fix or build anything. He was a perfectionist in all the work he did.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Bobby R. Ables; his grandchildren, Andrew Bobby and Jackson Riley Nobles, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by his mother, Ester Ables; daughter, Nikki Nobles (Jason); grandchildren, Brandon, Jonathan, and Emilee Nobles; and his dog, Blue.
Ronnie is also survived by his sisters, Wanda Abernathy (Edgar), and Sandra Flack (Rodney); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Ronnie had been sick many years, but overcome many obstacles. He loved the outdoors, including fishing, hunting, and looking for arrowheads.
Pallbearers will be Larry Jarnigan, Daniel Franks, Curtis Wallace, Roger Lard, James Welch, and Jackie Collum.
Ronnie was much loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. He will forever be in our hearts—until we meet again. Love your sister, Wanda
