Ronald Edward Applewhite, 79, died April 17, 2025 at Oktibbeha County Hospital. Ron was born in Paducah, KY on June 29, 1945 to the late Edward Fryer Applewhite and Floy Marie Scott Applewhite. Ron was raised in Memphis, TN where he graduated from Tech High School. After serving and retiring from the United States Army as a SSGT he moved to Tupelo and continued to serve in the IRS for 10 years.
A private family service was held. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving the family.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Dyan Applewhite Summers (Johnny) of Nettleton, MS, son, Ronald Edwards Applewhite II of Potts Camp, MS, and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Mikey Applewhite.
