Ronald Douglas Scott, Sr., 81, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday.
Mr. Scott retired as a Master Sergeant of the US Air Force in 1975 after 21 years of service. He was awarded the Air Force Bronze Star for service in Vietnam and numerous other commendations. Mr. Scott graduated from Athens State University and founded Scott Lighting Supply in 1992. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Scott, and brother Donald Scott.
Survivors include his three children: Ronnie (Debby) Scott, David Scott, and Joanie Trew; sister, Jeanette Sparks; brother, James Scott; and five grandchildren: Andrew Scott, Jennifer (Tyler) Garbo, Scott (LA) Trew, and Morgan (Layne) McDonald; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of North Alabama or the Wounded Warriors Project.
