Ronald Alan Lewis, 63, passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 5, 2022. A native of Madison County, he was born in Huntsville Hospital and lived here for most of his life. Ron is the son of Red and Nelda Lewis, both who still reside in Monrovia.

He worked with computers and in the telecommunication industry for many years both at Intergraph and Adtran. He volunteered numerous hours managing the computer systems at the local Catholic schools. He spent many years as a leader for Troup 350 at St. John’s Catholic Church.

Ron loved the outdoors and particularly enjoyed spending time on the boat with the family. His favorite line was, “Are you ready ski daddy?” To which the family responded, “Let it Happen, Captain.”

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sherry Lewis; his son, Robert (Erin) Lewis; daughter, Emily Lewis; the apple of his eye, granddaughter, June; and his parents, Red and Nelda Lewis. He was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Lewis.

All services will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Madison. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 6, 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday, April 7, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral mass.

In lieu flowers, please consider a donation to the Greater Huntsville Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
