Roland Ricardo Selby, Sr., of Rogersville, passed away at his residence on Monday, September 21, 2026. Roland grew up in the Athens and Huntsville area, where he is a proud Honorary Member of the 1956 class at Trinity High School. He graduated from Fredrick Douglas High School in Baltimore, Maryland.
Roland is preceded in death by his parents, Houghton Selby and Marion Vaugh Watkins; and his sister, Delores Slaughter. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patricia Selby; son, Roland Selby, Jr.; daughters, Dawn Lambert, Sonia (Wade) Davis, Tracie (Jeff) Trousdale; grandchildren, Jordan, Jessica and Jaden Selby, Audra (Luke) Phillips, Dylan (Hannah) Davis, Lucas (Annsley) Trousdale, Jacob (Taylor) Trousdale; great-grandchildren, Camden and Sutton Davis, Rowyn Young; brother, Gerald Selby; and numerous members of extended family and friends.
