Roland A. Fontaine, 75, passed away at 12:00 a.m. on February 3, 2025 in Tuscumbia, Alabama. The memorial service will be held at a future date and will be listed in a death notice once arrangements are made.
Memorial donations can be made to the “Wounded Warrior Project” in lieu of flowers.
He was preceded in death by his father, Normand R. Fontaine; his mother, Orise Fontaine; and his brother, Raymond N. Fontaine. He is survived by four children, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, Jennifer (Josh) Drake, Jeremy Graham, Desiree Fontaine, Nathan (Morgan) Fontaine, Austin Graham, Brandon and Hunter Drake, Cheyenne (David) Gazaille, Sarah and Alexis Hastings, Henry and Logan Fontaine, Colton Drake, Charlotte, Kinsley and Ivory Gazaille. He is survived by five sisters and one brother, Suzanne Fontaine, Denise (Don) Emerson, Linda (Jerry) Alred, Lucille (John) Phillips, JoAnn Fontaine and Marc (Vicki) Fontaine and several nieces and nephews. He served in the US Marine Corps, loved playing the drums and was a surveyor for many years.
