James Dendy “Bo” Goss, age 84, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. He was born on April 04, 1940, to James A. and Viva Goss in Florence, Alabama. He attended Coffee High School in Florence, AL and Florence State (UNA) where he received a degree in Accounting.

Bo spent his life in service to God, his country, and his family. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Russellville.

Bo was preceded in death by his parents, James and Viva (Dendy) Goss.

Bo is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Masterson Goss; and his daughters, Carol of Muscle Shoals, AL and Tammy of Troy, AL. He is also survived by a brother, John Goss, and a sister, Jenni Frost, special friends, Alan and Denise Wilson, along with nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Dr. Gene Balding and Bro. Chase Dowdy. The burial will be in Tharptown Baptist Cemetery.

The pallbearers will be Alan Wilson, Tommy Smith, Greg Masterson, John Payne, Wade Baker, and Charles Spears. The honorary pallbearers will be Butch Harkness, Jerry Baker, Dave Madden, Dr. Wayne Ray, Terry Hall, and Bob Seeley.
