Roger Humphrey, age 58 of Lebanon TN, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024 after a two-year battle with bladder cancer. He was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana and was preceded in death by his parents Lula Mae and LeRoy Humphrey.

Roger was an OTR truck driver for many years, before settling into a career working in the oilfields of Texas, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania, as a solids control specialist on drilling rigs. Most recently, he worked for Moody Construction as a heavy equipment operator.

In 2014, he married his best friend and love of his life, Carol, in Brazoria TX. They moved to Tennessee in 2017. From an early age, Roger was on two wheels, riding through woods on his dirtbike in Louisiana to the highways on his Harley. He loved his Cajun heritage, cooking for friends and family and was always ready for a good time and making memories.

When cancer came into his life, his love of CB radios from his trucking days was renewed. He enjoyed talking to people from across the globe.

Roger is survived by his wife Carol, sister Donna Thibodeaux of Brazoria TX, nephew Casey LeBlanc of Angelton TX, nephew Jesse (Shawna) Osborne of Granit Quarry NC, and a host of friends and family.

A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, 615.444.9393.
