Rodwell “Rod” King Jr., age 66 of Union Grove died Saturday – March 19, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. King was born on November 4, 1949 in Madison County Alabama the son of Rodwell King Sr., and Doris McDaniel King. He lived in the Oleander Community with his wife of 46 years, Mary Lackey King. He was a Mechanical Engineer for Thikol and Boeing, he enjoyed Fishing, Hunting and small time Farming. He was a 1968 graduate of Arab High School.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Lackey King; daughter: Anysia King; grandchild: Colin King; sister: Charlotte Turner; special aunt: Mary “Kitten” Couch. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodwell King Sr., and Doris McDaniel King.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday – March 22, 2016 with Brother Michael Lackey officiating. Burial will be in Oleander Cemetery, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Shane Lackey, Lawayne Lackey, Enoch Hayes, Justin Lackey, Marcus Walters and Jeffery Walker.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday – March 21, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
