His place at Mallard Creek featured water front property and became the hub for family, neighbors, and friends to gather. Rodney loved his role as host to many family and friends events, especially the annual dove hunt.  His love of music was always intertwined  with his hosting duties.

Rodney’s love and devotion for his family could not be surpassed. Known as PawPaw by his grandchildren, he delighted in spending time with them. He was always quick to help anyone in need, and never met a stranger.

Rodney was known to be the life of the party but also the rock of his family.
