Robin Ray Willis went home to the Lord on December 20, 2016. He was born on April 3, 1957 in Sheffield, Alabama.
Robin is preceded in death by his parents Harold Ray Willis and Billie Sue (Forrester) Willis.
Robin is succeeded by his loving wife Carol Malone Willis, one sister Mechele Willis Bradford (Stubby) and his loving daughters Brandy Willis Scruggs, and Blythe Willis (fiance’ Aaron), Carol’s daughters Whitney Moore, Ryan Smith (Nick), and nine precious grandchildren: Camryn, Olivia, Natalie, Darby Kate, Irie Jane, Dylan, Allie, Blake, and Carter, two nephews Brent Bradford (Jasmine) and Collin Bradford (Kelsey).
Robin was a multi-talented musician and touched many people’s lives through his music and loving personality. He was a One Man Band, playing multiple instruments at once and singing, and also played drums, guitar, bass guitar, and keyboards, and wrote many original songs. Robin also work in law enforcement in the Shoals area, started a K-9 program in the Shoals, started and built the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo in Gulf Shores, owned a Wild Country Wildlife Animal Sanctuary with his wife Carol and rescued and cared for exotic animals. He spent his last years playing music and entertaining crowds with his humor and infectious personality.
A memorial service will be held January 15, 2017 at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m, and service will be at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Robin would have liked donations to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or any animal rescue center of your choice in his name.
