Robert Wood Wright, Sr. age 85 of Tuscumbia, died Wednesday, December 14, 2016. Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, 9:30-11 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Barrett Long, officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Wright was a native of Tuscumbia and a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Tuscumbia, the Shriners, and the Alabama Pioneers. He was a retired Materials Manager with Bellsouth Telecommunications after thirty-six years of service. Bobby was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert D. and Bessie Wright.
Bobby is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Betty Moody Wright; sons, Robert W. Wright Jr. and William A. Wright (Cameron); daughters, Beverly Rector and Alice Wright; grandchildren, Hayden Wright (Ayla), Marley Rector, Kaley Rector and Carson Rector; great-granddaughter, McKenna Lynn Wright; and loved as grandchildren, Jordan Foster, Jeanie Hubbard, Brandi Hill and Matt Hill.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
