Robert S. Kopriva, age 71 of Miramar Beach, FL passed away May 7, 2022. Bob grew up in the Chicago, IL area. He attended the University of Illinois for undergrad and received his MBA from Northwestern University. Bob retired in 2006 as Senior VP Sara Lee Corp and CEO of Sara Lee Foods after 24 years of service. After his retirement, Bob continued with private consulting for other firms including Wind Point Partners & Bar-S Foods.
In addition to his successful career, his life passion was his loving family and playing golf. He and his wife, DJ, enjoyed many years of traveling, playing golf, and developing beloved lifelong friendships. He loved his family with all his heart and especially the grandchildren who affectionately called him “GrandBob”. His kind spirit, love of life, beautiful smile and great sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who had the joy of knowing him. He left this earth assuring us all that he is happy and strong once again in Heaven… arranging all his future golf games!
He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, DJ; sons, Scott (Kristi) Kopriva and Todd (Courtney) Kopriva; grandchildren, Hudson, Claire, Laine, and Hattie Kopriva; brothers, Earl Kopriva and Joe Kopriva and sister, Marie Gordon.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 19, 2022, at St. Rita’s Catholic Church, 22 St. Rita Lane, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Fellowship with a reception will follow the service on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Memphis TN.
