Robert Noel Turner, age 27 of Gadsden, entered into heaven on January 7, 2025. Noel accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior in 2017 and became a man of strong faith who put all of his confidence in God. He then went on to show Christ’s love, patience and gentleness to all that he encountered. His boys, Sutton and Price, best described him as “playful,” “cool,” and “funny,” things that we all know to be true. Noel’s most notable quality was his unwavering devotion to his wife and their three beautiful children. The love, time, and affection he showed his wife Lauren, and Sutton, Price, and Marlowe was unmatched. When he was with them, it was easy to see that the Lord set Noel apart with his role as a husband and father. During his too short life, he traveled widely, had numerous adventures and loved golf and football. He was an active member at MeadowBrook Church where he served and worshipped for many years. Words are insufficient to describe Noel’s incredible character and beautiful life. Our hearts groan without him, but we press forward and endure knowing that he is with Jesus.
Noel is survived by his loving wife Lauren, sons Sutton and Price, and daughter Marlowe. He is also survived by his mother, Lacey Crosson-Cornelius (stepfather Chris Cornelius); siblings Kimberly and Ann Bradlee Cornelius, and Brayden and Mary Adelyn Turner; Uncle Harry Turner (Brian Keil); grandparents Dianne Cannon, Bill (Charlotte) Crosson; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Noel was preceded in death by his father, Robert James Turner, grandparents, Jimmie Sue Gaines Walters (Roger Walters), and Charlie and Frances Cornelius.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 3:00 at Meadowbrook Church. Visitation will take place before the service from 1:00-3:00 PM. The address is 2525 Rainbow Dr, Gadsden, AL 35901.
Below is Noel’s life verse. He lived it out well.
“Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.” Colossians 3:12-14
