A Celebration of Life Service for Robert L. Skinner 81, is set for 1:00 pm Friday, February 18, 2022 at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Jetta Forsythe officiating. Burial will follow in the Indian Creek Cemetery.
Robert died Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born November 17, 1940 to the late Henry and Martha Skinner. He was of the Baptist faith, he was retired millwright operator for Gateway Handle Mill; he enjoyed watching wrestling.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Mike and Dennis Skinner; parents; brothers, S.T., Junior and Calvin Skinner; sisters, Earline Chambers, Lila Mae Burns, Pauline Brock, Marie Butler, Jean Bright.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gladys Skinner; sons, Neal Skinner, Shawn Skinner; daughter, Brenda Skinner; grandsons, Dewayne Skinner (Julie), Cole Skinner; great grandchildren, Anna Kate and Sam Skinner; daughter-in-law, Diane Skinner; host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 to service time at the funeral home.
