Robert “Bob” Vivin Petry, age 89 of Winchester, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. He was born on December 8, 1930 in Ohio to the late Norman and Hazel (Fetters) Petry. Bob served his county in the United States Air Force. He retired from National Cash Register, where he had been employed for forty years. Bob was a devoted member of Winchester First United Methodist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing, and going on mission trips with his church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Flory) Petry; brothers, Darwin Petry, Richard Petry, Nolan Petry, and Ted Petry; and sisters, Lillian Petry, Donna (Petry) McCabe, and Pat (Petry) Ocheltree. Bob is survived by his loving children, Rev. Scott (Janice) Petry of Seneca, South Carolina, and Brent (Karen) Petry of Winchester; and grandchildren, John (Kelsey) Petry of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Dr. Rachael Petry of Nashville, and Lauren Petry of Anderson, South Carolina. The register book and memorial cards will be available under the carport of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home from 11am-12 pm on Monday, March 30, 2020. An attendant will be available to assist you.
