Robert “Bob” Lind Guthrie, 75, of Athens, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, at Limestone Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born on May 6th, 1950, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Robert was the son of Robert White Guthrie and Eleanore Lind Guthrie.
Mr. Guthrie is survived by his wife of 31 years, Betty Guthrie; son, Robert Geroge Guthrie and his wife, Diane; 4 grandchildren; stepson, Curtis Renz and his wife, Jill; and his brother, David Guthrie and his wife, Caroline.
Mr. Guthrie was preceded by his parents.
Bob, as he was lovingly known to family and friends, was an avid cycler for many years. He spent many hours and countless miles doing long distance bicycling. He worked for 30 years at General Motors/Delphi and loved his work.
