HAZEL GREEN-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a multi-vehicle accident involving a boom-life has taken the life of a Falkville man:
“A multi-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:15 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, has claimed the life of a Falkville man.
Brian K. Edmondson, 50, was critically injured when the 2014 boom-lift that he was operating was struck by a 2015 Nissan Quest driven by Kay C. West, 83, of Hazel Green. After the initial impact, the Nissan struck a parked 2005 Freightliner tractor-trailer that was unoccupied. As a result of the impact, Edmondson was thrown from the boom-lift.
Edmondson and West were both injured and transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. Edmondson later succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The crash occurred on Loveless Road near McFarlen Drive, approximately three miles northwest of Hazel Green, in Madison County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
