Robert Anthony Whisenant, 59 of Union Grove, died Thursday June 22, 2017 at Diversicare in Arab.
Mr. Whisenant was born July 16, 1957 in Marshall County to Frank Marion Whisenant and Margaret Jake Wayne Goodson Whisenant. He was a graduate of Arab High School and previously worked as an electrician. He enjoyed playing golf.
He was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church.
Mr. Whisenant is survived by his two sons: Ryan Whisenant and Austin Whisenant; two brothers: Larry D. Whisenant and Charles S. Whisenant; sisters and brother-in-law: Shelby Jean Brookshire and Joan Andrea Terrell and Johnny and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Margaret Whisenant; a brother: Kerry Whisenant and two sisters: Wanda Faye Thornberry and Patsy Gail Davis.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday June 25, 2017 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City with Brother: Jimmy Flynn, officiating. Burial will be in Rescue Cemetery with Brindlee Mountain Chapel and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Morrow, Matthew Whisenant, Russell Whisenant, Lewis Whisenant, Chuck Brookshire and Michael Brookshire.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Sunday June 25, 2017 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City.
