Robby Benton Gass, age 59 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Sewanee on October 31, 1960. He was most recently employed by TE Connectivity and had previously worked at TEPRO, Cofer’s Pipe Construction, J and L Insulation, and Hawkersmith Nursery. Robby enjoyed watching the Price is Right and American Pickers and going to Holt’s Dinner, as well as drawing and working on cars. His family will remember his giving, generous nature and how he always put others first. Robby was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sister, Michelle Gass Shetters. Robby is survived by his loving wife of thirty-one years, Jeanene Gass of Winchester; son, Philip Pendleton of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Laars Pendleton and Daegan Pendleton, both of Estill Springs; parents, Robin and Geraldine Gass of Cowan; sister, Jerry (Randy) Sadler of Manchester; mother and father-in-law, Bobby and Jean Hasty of Estill Springs; several aunts and uncles; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and best friends, Bobby Arnold and Cecelia Cambron. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 12, 2019 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. Ray Gardner and Rev. Larry Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Cowan Montgomery with Ryan Sadler, Landon Hershman, Mark Gass, Mitch Gass, Kelly Gass, and Gene Campbell serving as pallbearers, and Bobby Arnold serving as honorary pallbearer.
