Roald William Cornelius went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 16th, 2018. Roald is survived by his wife, Judy; 2 sons Ted(Sherry), Kirk (Annette), 2 grandchildren, Eli and Stella. Roald was born December 29th, 1935 in Puna, India to missionary parents from Norway. He lived there until he was 10 years old and then moved back home to Norway. At age 12 he moved to the United States, where they took up residence in Minneapolis, MN. Later he received his B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota. He met his wife Judy at Soul’s Harbor Church, where they both were involved in the music program. Roald and Judy have been married for 57 years this coming September. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Roald was a loving husband, Father and a wonderful Grandpa.
There will be a memorial service Saturday, August 25th at Crowne Point Church, 7121 Bloomington Ave S, Richfield, MN 55423. Visitation starting at 1p and service will begin at 2p. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the charity of your choice.
