Claude Cavet Hackett, Jr. age 90 of Franklin, TN passed away August 17, 2018 at his home. He was born in Jackson County, TN to the late Cavet & Annie Lee Hackett. Claude was honored to serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After a career of 50 years in credit management with Harpeth National and Third National Banks as well as other financial institutions, he retired to a lifelong love of growing beautiful roses to share with others. He was a member of Berry’s Chapel Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ethel Poteet Hackett; daughter, Joan Hitchcock Dell of Franklin, TN; brother, Jack (Linda) Hackett of Goodlettsville, TN; sister, Mary Weismiller of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Jeremy (Tammy) Hitchcock and Jason (Becca) Hitchcock; great-grandchildren, Emilee, Kylee, Brody & Colby Hitchcock. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Monday, August 20, 2018 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Andy Baker officiating. Visitation will be 2-5PM Sunday at Williamson Memorial. Graveside Service will be 3:00PM Monday at John L. Clark Cemetery in Gainesboro, TN. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Dodge, Dr. Barbara Murphy and her oncology department at Vanderbilt Cancer Center and Alive Hospice with all their wonder workers.
