Funeral service for Rita Faye “Cardy” Jones, 67, will be Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 2:00 PM at First Assembly of God in Waynesboro, Mississippi with Rev. Chad Payne officiating. Her body will lie in state for one hour prior to service at the church. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery, Wayne County, Mississippi. Visitation will be Friday, January 23, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jones died on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born December 31, 1947, in Baldwin County to Herman Hayes, Sr. and Adell Fleming. Rita was affectionately called “Cardy” by her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She also was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Mickey, Danny, Daniel and Gary Hayes and one sister: Karen Hayes Melaio.
