Rita Ann Stewart Davis, age 71 of Murfreesboro, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Winchester on March 2, 1952, to the late James Howard and Mary Ruth (Farris) Stewart. Before her retirement, she had been employed as a CNA in the healthcare industry. Her kind and loving nature was evident in all she did as she loved taking care of children and the elderly and buying Christmas presents for others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirlene Gifford. Rita Ann is survived by her loving husband of twenty years, William Davis; daughter, Sue Rodriguez; stepson, James D. Davis; stepdaughter, Candice Michelle Davis; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers, Phillip “Bink” (Yvonne) Stewart, Jeff Stewart, David Stewart, and Jimmy (Kim) Stewart. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
