Rick Monoford Beam Profile PhotoRick Monoford Beam, pastor for the United Church of God and faithful shepherd, entered his rest on March 31, 2024 at the age of 73, after a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer.

Rick is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Angela Wray Beam; his three children Leigh-Anne, Jonathan, Loren; two daughter-in-laws Sally and Bridgette; as well as three grandchildren Josiah, Bronson and Annalyse.

Rick was a dedicated, loving, and strong leader both for his family and the many brethren he served. His love and concern for the Body of Christ, was ever evident to any who were blessed to have him as a shepherd. No distance was too great to go and help someone in distress, or who needed a helping hand in times of trouble or hardship. He had no ‘set hours’ of being available, and never declined to listen to the lonely, dejected and downtrodden. He was the friend and brother that you sought in times of trial, adversity, and tribulation. His door was always open to receive those that needed the wisdom of his counsel, and to help point them in the right direction. By his close friends and family, Rick was also known for his joyful spirit, often singing his way through the day and cracking silly jokes all while sipping on coffee. He was a devoted father, husband and Papa.

A service will be held for Rick on Sunday, April 7th at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home in Madison, Alabama with visitation from 12:30-2 pm and a funeral service at 2 pm. Following the service, everyone is welcome to join a Celebration of Life across the street at the AGC Building – 17 Hughes Rd, Madison, AL 35758.
