Richard Glen Davis was born June 22, 1944 in Wayne County to the union of the late Richard Wilford and Ottie Mae Creasy Davis. He was the proud father to two daughters, Trenda and Amy. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family. With cooking being one of his great hobbies, he especially loved to cook for everyone and have them gathered at his table. His love for cooking lead him to owning his own restaurant, Katie’s Kitchen in Clifton. In his spare time, he loved fishing and spending time looking for arrowheads. Mr. Davis departed this life on Friday, June 26, 2026 in Savannah, TN making his stay in this life some 82 years and 4 days.
Those left to cherish his memory include his two sisters, Janice Holt; Brenda Dicus both of Savannah, TN; one brother Larry Davis and wife Kathy of Lawrenceburg, TN; two grandchildren, Matthew Davis of Clifton, TN; Keela Brown and husband Tavin of Waynesboro, TN; two great grandchildren, Landon and Cannon Brown.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Trenda Davis; Amy Davis and two brothers, Michael and Jeffrey Pitts.
Visitation with the Davis family will be on Monday, June 29, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM all at Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation Chapel.
A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 beginning at 2:00 PM at Prater’s Chapel Cemetery in Clifton
