Richard D. Arnold left this world on Sunday, January 23, 2022. He had dealt shortly with health issues but left us on his terms and the knowledge he had taken care of his loved ones. Richard was born on December 10, 1944 in Franklin County to the late Lawrence and Katherine Arnold. After his retirement from Gilbert Hardwood, he enjoyed working on a local farm. Richard loved to watch his grandson, Chris in his pulling truck. He also enjoyed dirt track racing and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Frances Gail Arnold, Brenda Smith and Janice McClure. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Ashby Arnold; son, Jeff (Jennifer) Arnold; grandsons, Christian Arnold and Jeremy Arnold; siblings, Helen (Bob) Stewart, Sarah Sisk, Dwight (Laura) Arnold and Donna Branch. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 5pm until 8pm at Moore Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 11am in the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
