Rena Elizabeth DeShazier was born in Waterloo, Alabama, August 16, 1935, the daughter of the late Joe and Cynthia Gibbs Highland. On January 5, 1956, she was united in marriage to Albert DeShazier, who preceded her in death on August 9, 1999.
She lived her earlier life in Waterloo, Alabama before moving to Savannah, Tennessee. She was a homemaker, who loved flower and vegetable gardening and she was of the Holiness Belief.
Mrs. DeShazier departed this life at Hardin Medical Center on March 20, 2014, at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 4 days.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, 2006 Wayne Road, Savannah, Tennessee.
