Rebecca Purvis Turner, 77, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at her home in Harvest, Alabama. Becky, as she was known to her friends, was a native of Hazard, Kentucky and graduated from Hazard High School in 1955. She is preceded in death by her parents James Monroe and Rhoda Perkins Purvis of Hazard, Kentucky, and her brother J. Rex Purvis of Parkersburg, West Virginia.
Mrs. Turner is survived by her husband and caregiver Harold “Ken” Turner, her son J. Russell Turner (Denise), and her daughter Patricia White (Lewis). No services are planned at this time. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes, P.O. Box 361767, Birmingham, Alabama 35236-1767.
