Reba Jean Glass, age 82 of Arab the Strawberry Community, died on Thursday – March 17, 2016 at Marshall Manor Nursing Home in Guntersville, Alabama.
She was born on November 16, 1933 in Marshall County Alabama, the daughter of William Edward Henry and Ruby Louise Cox Henry. She was married to James Verlon Glass who preceded her in death in 1981. She was a Nursing Assistant at Golden Living Nursing Home in Arab for many years. Her love was nursing and helping people.
She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Dennis Nesmith; one grandchild: Joshua Adam NeSmith; brothers: Rickey Henry and Jimmy Henry; sister: Lavern Randall. She was preceded in death by her husband Verlon Glass; parents William Edward Henry & Ruby Louise Cox Henry and a sister: Sue Craft.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday – March 19, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother Randy Blakely officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
Pallbearers will be Sherrill Collins, Billy Graham, Buddy Holloway, William Madden, Benny Stone and Max Henry.
Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 Friday – March 18, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
