Raymond H. Rothell, age 88 of Boaz passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024 at the Collinsville Nursing Home.
His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery in Boaz following the service. Bro. Shannon Pullen and Bro. Kenneth Putnam will officiate his service. Pallbearers will be Jaron Franks, Rusty Rowan, Skylar Burns, Pete Willingham, Jim Handley and Kendall Hampton. Music will be provided by Kendall Hampton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2 p.m. before the service begins.
Mr. Rothell is survived by his wife of almost 70 years; Lillie B. Rothell, daughter and son-in-law; Cathy and Glenn Franks of Boaz, Al., grandson; Jaron Franks of Albertville, Al., brothers; Bill Rothell of Collinsville, Al. and Jerry Rothell of Ft. Payne, Al., his sister; Judy Duke of Georgia and an array of nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Maggie and Orbie Rothell of Collinsville, Al. and his brother; Bobby Rothell.
