Raymond Eugene Thrasher, Jr. age 82 of Sumiton, passed away Tuesday April 24, 2018. He was retired from Oxmoor Press.
Funeral services will be Thursday April 26, 2018 at 12:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Thursday from 11:00 until service time at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond E. and Margaret Thrasher; son, Thomas Ray Thrasher and brother, David Thrasher.
Survivors include his wife, Alta Lorez Thrasher; sons, Billy Thrasher (Julie) and David Thrasher; grandchildren, Melissa, Austin and Chris; brother, Ron Thrasher; several other relatives and many friends.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of St. Vincent’s Medical Center for their care.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to the American Heart and Lung Association.
