Raymond E. McCorkle, 59, of Town Creek, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital/DGC. His funeral will be today at 1 p.m. with a visitation from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Jackson Memory Funeral Home with Brother Bennie Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Raymond was born Feb.5, 1955, in Los Angeles, California to Raymond E. McCorkle Sr. and Evelyn Mickleson McCorkle who preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Robbie Suit McCorkle, and a stepbrother, Michael Mickelson.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sandra Dickey McCorkle; two daughters, Shannon McCorkle Fike (Joe) and Ann Marie Harris (Justin); three stepbrothers, Kurt, Gary, and Allen Mickleson; and a stepsister, Renee Mickleson.
Raymond was retired from General Motors and he was a great man of God who loved his family dearly. He touched many lives through his ministry and his legacy will live on.
