Raymond Duane McNatt, age 56, of Russellville, died on Friday, September 6, 2024, resulting from a tragic accident on the way to work.
Raymond was born on October 28, 1967. He proudly served his nation in the U.S. Army, and he worked hard at G&G Steel for the last 34 years. Raymond loved his wife, Mikki; his daughters, Desirea and Brooke, but especially his grandchildren, Nora and Asher, who were the light of his world. He was a diehard Alabama fan, a huge Trump supporter, enjoyed swimming in his pool, and sitting on the porch listening to country music. He loved going to the Amish country, loved to grill, loved going to Buckey’s, loved eating at Rancho’s, and loved riding his motorcycle. He and Mikki enjoyed spending their weekends together eating out or traveling to Tuscaloosa to watch the Alabama games. Raymond was the most easy-going man you could meet, and he was a friend to everyone. He is gone too soon, but we will cherish the legacy and memories he left behind.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife and best friend of 34 years, Mikki Tompkins McNatt; daughters, Desirea Baker (Stan), Brooke Wisdom (Troy); grandchildren, Nora Baker, Asher Wisdom; mother, Margarette McNatt; siblings, Clara Powell (Jeff), Etta McNatt, Ronnie McNatt; mother-in-law, Kathy Tompkins; in-laws, Jake Tompkins (Kayla) , Josh Tompkins, (Heather), Lance Tompkins; and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Owen McNatt, sister, Melinda McNatt, and father-in-law, Larry Tompkins.
The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The service will be at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Bobby Brown officiating the service. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jake Tompkins, Josh Tompkins, Troy Wisdom, Stan Baker, Craig Bullion, Jeremy Burns, and Colin Bendall.
