Ray Monroe Laney – Obituary

Ray Monroe Laney of Atlanta died November 7, 2016 and was a resident of St. Anne’s Terrace. She was born in Huntsville, Alabama on August 10, 1925 to Beryle Ray Monroe and William Paul Monroe and was a graduate of Auburn University. She was a long-time member of Rock Spring Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Franklin Laney and sister, Evelyn Joan Monroe.
She is survived by her three daughters, Beth Smith (Bill) of Pensacola, Florida, Janet Laney of St. Augustine, Florida and Diane Farmer (Hanson) of Atlanta; six grandchildren, Laney Smith Maxey (Stuart), Trey Smith (Teale), Hank Farmer (Christie), Josie Farmer Fox (Devin), Lauren and Callie Aitken; and five great-grandchildren.
A family graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday at Maple Hill Cemetery.
