Memorial service for Randy Calvin Grizzard, age 70, of Decatur, will be Wednesday, December 1, 2021, 4:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Austinville with Rev. Randy Berry officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service at the church. Shelton Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Grizzard, who died Thursday, November 25, 2021, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born July 9, 1951, in Alabama, to Calvin Leroy Grizzard and Helen Louise Norris Grizzard. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Grizzard was an accountant with Boeing. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and an avid Auburn fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Candace Holtrey Grizzard of Decatur; three daughters, Lacie Benderman (Jeremy) of Hartselle, Tiffany Seal (Jeremy) of Decatur, and Kimberly Grizzard of Hartselle; one sister, Hilda Belletete (Harald) of Decatur; five grandchildren, Tanner Hendrix, Carly Hewett, Camden Seal, Reece Seal, and Tripp Burnett; three great-grandchildren, Avery, Blakely, and Elizabeth Hendrix; and several nephews and nieces.
