Graveside service for Jennie Teresa (Garcia) Bransfield, age 86, of Courtland, will be Wednesday, December 1, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Decatur City Cemetery with Rev. Earl Holt officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Bransfield, who died Thursday, November 25, 2021, at the residence of her daughter in Courtland, was born April 24, 1935, in La Puente, CA, to Monico Garcia and Della Jaramillo Garcia. She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings. Mrs. Bransfield worked as an elementary teacher’s aide.
She is survived by her son, Donald Bransfield of Gilbert, AZ; her daughter, Cynthia Dement of Courtland, AL; one brother, Raymond Garcia; five sisters, Barbara Howe, Martha Ramos, Mary Lou Boxley, Rosalie Alaniz, and Dolores Macias; two grandchildren, Matthew Bransfield and Kristina Bransfield Dunlap; and one great-grandchild, Nathan Dunlap.
