Ramsey Cornel Quarles, age 70 of Winchester, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 29, 1949 in Albertville, AL to the late D. C. Quarles and Marie Hallmark Quarles. He was a retired electrical engineer for TVA. Ramsey enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking and was also a woodworker and craftsman. He will be remembered as an amazing husband and father who was gentle, giving and strong and would do anything to help anyone. Survivors include his wife, Myra Quarles of Winchester; daughters, Tera (Kevin) Kelly of Memphis, TN, Kelly (Rex Jr.) Womack of Belvidere and Dara Quarles of Winchester; grandchildren, Lora Kelly, Leigh Kelly and Lindy Kelly of Memphis, TN, Jocelyn Womack of Belvidere, Rex Womack III of Belvidere and Darius Patrick of Winchester; brothers, Mike (Dava) Quarles of South Pittsburg, TN and Brian (Tina) Quarles of Knoxville, TN. Visitation with the family will begin 1 pm Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 3 pm at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Jeff Collet officiating.
