Ralph Edward Johnson, age 70 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Sewanee on August 30, 1949. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. In his spare time, Ralph enjoyed mowing the yard and gardening, always planting enough for the Liberty Community, as well as collecting coins and Ford Mustangs. But most of all, he cherished the time spent with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and June Haney; brothers, Jerry Johnson, and Anthony Johnson; and grandchildren, Kassie Garner, Kasey Allen Garner, and Jayden Hill. Ralph is survived by his loving daughters, Kimberly Hill and June Johnson, both of Winchester; brother, Michael Haney of Stevenson, Alabama; grandchildren, Tia Garner, Britney Brannan, Jordan Johnson, Kayla Davenport, Tristan Barnes, and Jacey Walls; great-grandchildren, Abel McDonough, Annalyn Rich, Jaxson Davenport, Sophia Davenport, Christopher Davenport, Jewellyssa Jackson, Harper Jackson, Avery Jackson, Lucas Lappin, and Kaya Brannan; uncle and aunt, James and Pat Roberts of Jasper; and beloved dogs, Fancy, Chewey, Princess, and Jazzy. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Franklin Memorial Gardens with military honors bestowed.
