Rachael Estelle Sims Wingfield of Moore County, Tennessee passed away quietly in her home on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. Rachael attended private school in Huntsville, Alabama and graduated from Madison Academy in 1992. She held a CPC and a COSC certificate through AAPC as a professional medical coder. She worked at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville Orthopaedic Associates, and The Orthopaedic Center (TOC) for 30 years. She attended Saint Mary Magdalene and The United Methodist Church in Lynchburg, Tennessee. Her interests included drawing, oil painting, owning and riding Tennessee Walking horses, raising cattle, and Great Pyrenees dogs.
Survivors include her parents, Nancy Hill Sims and Coach Clifford Sims of Huntsville; sister, Amanda Saile (Jeff); and niece, Elizabeth Saile all of Dallas, Texas; sister, Jennie Whatley of Florida; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 15, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home in Huntsville. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery with Dave Pollard presiding.
Pallbearers include cousins, Barry Key Jr., Bryan Key, Phillip Vest, David Vest, and brother-in-law, Jeff Saile.
