Mrs. Phyllis Shirley Bartholomew, age 80, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 in Parsons. She was born March 2, 1943 to the late Clarence and Faye Little Shirley. She was a self-employed cosmetologist and owned Dub’s Market and Dub’s Carpet. She was married to the late James William “Dub” Bartholomew and enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved cooking and being with her family. Survivors include her son, Barry Bartholomew (Pam); one sister, Janice Shirley; one grandson, Jeremy Bartholomew (Leslie); five grandchildren, Haley Pearcy (Konnor), Hannah Wood (Drew), Heather, Holly, and Hope Bartholomew; and two great-great grandsons, Waylon & Halston Wood. Besides her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Bobby and two sisters, Loraine and Martha Jo.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3 PM, Thursday, May 25, 2023 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 2-9 PM and on Thursday, 10AM – 3 PM at Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill.
