Phillip Wayne McCary, Sr. stepped into Heaven completely whole—spirit, soul, and body—on June 25, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on March 17, 1946, in Selma, Alabama, Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd “Mac” McCary and Elsie McCary.
Wayne is survived by his beloved wife Trisha, having celebrated their 61st Wedding Anniversary last Friday, June 20th.
Wayne is also survived by his brother, Steve McCary (Beth); his children, Ann Hammock (Dusty), Phillip McCary (Leigh), and Stacey McCary Castleberry (Alan); and his grandsons: Jonathan, Jaden (Abby), Landon (Kim), Daniel, Nick, Jase; granddaughters: Faith (Dennis), Rebecca (Todd), Bailee (Kyle), and Alexis (Adam). He was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren: Bartley, Ethan, Harper, Patience, Jubilee, Gideon, Esther, Lavender, Alan, and Elliot.
Wayne served in the United States Air Force and later ministered as a counselor at The Foundry Farm, sharing the freedom and healing he had personally experienced. His life was marked by grace and gratitude for the love of Jesus.
