Larry Neil Blevins, age 79, of Florence, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 29th from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Brother Malcolm Scott and Tony Quillen officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery with military honors accorded. Pallbearers will are Tommy Blevins, Russ Bowling, Harley Blevins, Tucker Blevins, Brett Blevins, and Billy Kryston.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Sue Blevins; parents, James M. II and Ethel V. Blevins; brothers, Jerry Paul Blevins and Bobby Joe Blevins; infant nephew, Jerry Paul Blevins, Tony Blevins and Lance Holt; niece, Kimberly Shea Staggs.
Survivors are his children, Greg Blevins (Kathy), Leigh Butler (Mark), and Brett Blevins (Becky); grandchildren, Russ Bowling (Carissa), Tommy Blevins (Natalie), Harley Blevins (Fiancé, Shanise Allen), Tucker Blevins, Kayla Blevins, Piper Connell; great-grandchildren, Bennett Blevins, Mae Blevins, and Jane Blevins; several nieces and nephews.
Larry was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served during Vietnam and was patriotic for his country. He was a devoted follower of his Lord Jesus Christ and a proud member of the Baptist faith. He loved singing for the Lord, cooking, baking, drawing, and watching western movies. He had a photographic memory of birthdays and anniversaries for the ones he loved. Larry was a devoted husband and loving father who will be greatly missed. Donations may be made to your local animal shelter for his love of animals.
