Phillip N. Corley, age 85 of Empire, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 11, 2022. Phillip loved his wife and family immeasurably. His other great loves were watching his grandchildren play sports and farming. He was retired from Continental Can Company. Phillip is preceded in death by his parents Luard A. and Della Corley; sister, Inez Attaway; brother Nelson Corley; sister, Margaret Wood; infant brother, Raymond Corley; great-granddaughter, Sarah Piper Corley and son-in-law, Jimmy Attaway. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Evelyn Roberts Corley; sons, Phillip Corley, Jr. “Snoopy” (Cindy), Danny Corley (Denise); daughters, Beverly Johnson (Ronny), Debbie Attaway, Pam Williams (Mike); 9 grandchildren and their spouses and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday April 15, 2022 in the New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation from 12:30-2pm, chapel service beginning at 2pm with burial following in New Cannan Cemetery. Rev. Ronny Johnson and Bishop Bruce LeVan will officiate. Pallbearers will be Kevin Johnson, Chad Attaway, Seth Williams, Nathan Corley, Tyler Corley and Taylor Williams.
