Deputies were called to a home on Old Winstead Road in Phil Campbell on June 2, where they found 48-year-old Ronnie Shane O’Kelly dead in a bathroom.

Investigators discovered a hidden camera in O’Kelly’s bedroom that recorded Dyer injecting him with methamphetamine on June 2, 2026. O’Kelly collapsed about 10 minutes after the injection.  Deputies say O’Kelly remained on the floor for several hours before Dyer reported finding him.

After confronting Dyer with the video she admitted that she did inject O’Kelly with meth.  Dyer also admitted that she intentionally withheld that information because she thought she would be arrested for causing his death, detectives said.
